Prompt & Circumstance* is starting off as a series of AI-generated images. In all cases, I’ve provided some of the available details of how I went about creating these images, showing the prompt I fed to the AI tool, it’s response (always in text form, sometimes with additional in-progress imagery included).
Initially I have 3 main sources for these images:
- Perplexity
- Envato Elements/Labs ImageGen
- Zoom’s AI Companion, most often from inside the Zoom Events editor
For example, this image I’m using as the logo was done using Envato’s ImageGen. Created December 8, 2025 using the following prompt:
A comic-artistic looking rendition of the capital letter P followed by an ampersand followed by a capital C. Fancy or comic font style.
I use AI in a lot of ways, but the artistic bit is my favorite for several reasons:
- I don’t have any artistic talent!
- I really enjoy the generation and refinement process.
- I’m always surprised by the results, either at how incredibly funny/colorful/realistic it is, but also sometimes how weird it looks when it “did what I asked, but not what I wanted.” (Translation: It helps me with my communication skills!)
I may eventually put in some non-image generation. I’ve done a little bit with some video, but most of those aren’t nearly as interesting.
I’m also doing some “vibe coding” on the Bolt.new site, with some interesting and promising results. Let me know in the comments what you’d like to see!
* In case you were wondering: Prompt & Circumstance is a play on words around the name “Pomp and Circumstance”, collectively a series of orchestral marches by Edward Elgar in the early 1900s, the most famous of which is technically referred to as “Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D Major“, most often played at graduation processionals.
